Wat to buy?

I am in the market for a sail boat (in Australia)that I ca use for extended single handed work I am 76, still, active but need something that is easy to handle. Looking for general advice. Eg, single or two master? Best make of mechanical self steerer? Appropiate length, hull material?
Motor size?. Is a dep keeled, narrow boat better than a widene with shallow draft?

Any advice welcome, (except'Don't go!)
